12Cr1MoVR is a chromium-molybdenum pressure vessel steel plate grade under the Chinese national standard. The manufacturing specification is GB/T 713.2-2023 (previous version: GB/T 713-2014), and the ultrasonic testing standard is NB/T 47013.3-2015.
This grade is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy steel offering excellent high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and corrosion resistance for elevated temperature service. It is a unique grade under GB/T 713 with no direct equivalent in EN or ASME standards.
12Cr1MoVR steel plates are impact tested at 20 C as standard, with minimum absorbed energy of 47 J (average).
12Cr1MoVR designation explanation: 12 stands for average carbon content (0.12%), Cr denotes Chromium, Mo denotes Molybdenum, V denotes Vanadium, R denotes Pressure Vessel Steel.
Product Overview
12Cr1MoVR Steel Plate is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium pressure vessel steel manufactured in accordance with GB/T 713.2-2023. It contains chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium as alloying elements, providing excellent high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and oxidation resistance for elevated temperature service.
Compared with 15CrMoR, 12Cr1MoVR offers the addition of vanadium (0.15-0.30%) which refines grain structure and significantly improves high-temperature strength and creep resistance, making it suitable for critical high-temperature applications.
Core Advantages
- Excellent high-temperature strength and creep resistance
- Vanadium addition for grain refinement and enhanced strength
- Customizable: HIC/SSC, high-temp properties
