NM600 Abrasion Resistant Steel Plate
Chinese NM600 ultra-high strength abrasion resistant steel plate — engineered for extreme wear conditions in mining, quarrying, and heavy machinery. Meets GB/T 24186-2022 standard.
Maximum Service Life
570-640 HBW ultra-high hardness delivers exceptional wear resistance, 10-15x longer life than structural steel.
Ultra-High Hardness
Maximum hardness up to 640 HBW, superior abrasion resistance for most severe conditions.
Limited Workability
Cutting and welding with specialized procedures and preheating required.
Decoding the Grade: NM600
International Standards & Comparisons
Note: NM600 provides ultra-high hardness for extreme abrasion conditions. AR600/XAR600/Hardox600 are approximate commercial equivalents.
Domestic Grade Comparison (NM600 / NM600D / NM600E)
According to GB/T 24186-2022, NM600D and NM600E are low-temperature impact grades. Impact values and tensile properties shall be agreed upon between supplier and buyer.

Technical FAQ
SMAW, GMAW, FCAW. Preheat 250-300°C, low hydrogen practices. Consult specialized procedure.
Not recommended. NM600 is not suitable for bending operations per GB/T 24186 Table 7.
Plasma, waterjet, abrasive cutting. Preheating required for laser cutting.
≤30mm uniform, 30-60mm slight core decrease within tolerance.
Continuous ≤200°C, short peaks ≤250°C. Higher temps reduce hardness.
D/E grade impact values by agreement. Consult supplier for specific requirements.
