Deep Drawing Quality · Anti-Fishscale Guaranteed · Ideal for Traditional Enameling Process Household Enamelware, Water Heater Tanks, Sanitary Ware, Industrial Components
📋 Product Overview
DC03EK is a premium cold rolled low carbon steel sheet specially designed for vitreous enamelling, conforming to GB/T 13790-2025. With stamping level 03 (deep drawing) and EK classification (traditional enameling process), it offers excellent deep drawability, superior enamel adhesion, and reliable anti-fishscale performance. Supplied in annealed + skin-passed condition, mechanical properties are guaranteed for 6 months from manufacture date.
📌 Grade code: D (cold forming) + C (cold rolled) + 03 (stamping level 03) + EK (traditional enameling).

📌 Key Features Low carbon (≤0.07%) and low manganese (≤0.50%) ensures excellent deep drawability and weldability; aluminum content promotes enamel adhesion and prevents fishscale. Stricter P (≤0.025%) and S (≤0.030%) for better enameling performance.
* When yield point is not obvious, use Rp0.2. Lower yield strength negotiable to 140 MPa upon agreement. For thickness ≥1.5mm, yield strength upper limit is 225 MPa.

📌 EK Classification: Suitable for traditional two-coat enameling process. Excellent enamel wettability and reduced risk of pinholing.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
📦 What is the lead time for DC03EK enameling steel?
Our standard lead time is 35-55 days after order confirmation, depending on quantity and specification requirements. Express delivery options are available upon request.
💰 What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
The typical MOQ is 25 tons per specification. Trial orders of 10-15 tons can be arranged for customer qualification. Contact us for sample requests.
🧪 How does DC03EK prevent fishscaling during enameling?
DC03EK features strictly controlled chemistry (low carbon, aluminum killed) and hydrogen permeation test value TH ≥ 6.7 min/mm², which effectively blocks hydrogen diffusion and prevents fishscale defects. We can provide the hydrogen permeation test report upon request.
🔥 Is DC03EK suitable for direct-on enameling (one-coat) process?
DC03EK is classified as EK type for traditional two-coat enameling process. For direct-on enameling (ED type), please refer to our DC03ED / DC04ED / DC06ED grades which are specifically designed for one-coat enameling with superior anti-fishscale performance.
📄 How long are the mechanical properties guaranteed?
Per GB/T 13790-2025, mechanical properties (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation) are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of manufacture, provided proper storage conditions. However, due to aging effects, we recommend using the material as soon as possible for optimal forming performance.
🚢 What surface quality and packaging options are available?
We offer FB (finish B), FC (finish C), and FD (superior) surface quality. Packaging includes standard oiled or dry (non-oiled) options, with export-grade moisture-proof packaging, seaworthy wooden pallets, and edge protection available.
